Southside Vice City

Officially Confirmed

Area · Vice City

Southside Vice City is named by Rockstar in the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page, which invites players to raid the compound of one of Southside Vice City’s loudest and most socially active gangs and escape safely with special items and distinct contraband. It is the only place in that per-item edition copy whose own name carries a region inside it, which is why Vice City is recorded here while the other locations drawn from the same page are left blank. Beyond the name, the sentence establishes only that the area contains at least one gang with a compound. Rockstar has drawn no boundary for the southside and has not said whether this is a formal district name or plain directional shorthand.

Rockstar's official editions page names it in the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store item copy: "Raid the compound of one of Southside Vice City’s loudest and most socially active gangs and escape safely to score some special items and distinct contraband." The region field is set to Vice City on the strength of the place name itself, which embeds 'Vice City' — this is the single case on that page where Rockstar's own wording ties a location to a region. What that does NOT establish: that 'Southside Vice City' is an official district name rather than a descriptive phrase, where its boundaries lie, or how it relates to any other Vice City neighborhood. The item's image alt text ('PTT Youngin$ gathered outside the Illegal Goods Store. Two members on a motorcycle are being recorded by another on their phone.') shows the store, not the wider area.
