The World of Leonida

Rockstar has not released a map of Grand Theft Auto VI. There is no official map image, no stated dimensions and no square-mileage figure — so this page shows the world the only way it can be shown honestly: the places Rockstar has actually named, and nothing between them.

City · Named by Rockstar

Vice City

Vice City is the central urban setting of Grand Theft Auto VI, the place Rockstar's own Leonida overview page returns to again and again as the backdrop for Jason and Lucia's story, calling it the darkest side of the sunniest place in America. Official screenshots and the character bios tied to it repeatedly show neon signage, clubs, a recording studio scene tied to Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest, and dense street-level activity rather than any single confirmed neighborhood layout.

Rockstar ties it to

Not a map. Rockstar has published no map of Leonida, so these postcards sit in a fixed row: no position, distance or border between regions is implied. Everything shown is Rockstar's own imagery and wording.

Where the official record stands

Rockstar has published no map of Grand Theft Auto VI. Not a full map image, not a partial one, not a set of dimensions, and not a square-mileage figure — nothing on any Rockstar or Take-Two page states how large Leonida is or what shape it takes.

That means any complete GTA VI map you are shown right now is not working from a Rockstar source. Some are drawn from datamined material, some are traced from earlier games, and some are simply invented. We do not host, reproduce or link to them, and no figure derived from one appears anywhere on this site.

What Rockstar has published is a list of names: the state, six regions inside it, and a handful of individual places mentioned in character biographies and store listings. That list is below. When a real map arrives, this page changes.

6 confirmed regions

The state of Leonida

Leonida is the fictional state Grand Theft Auto VI is set in. Rockstar names six regions within it, each tied to a character on its official People & Places page and each given its own set of screenshots in the official media gallery.

A biker club riding in formation down the flag-hung main street of Ambrosia.

Ambrosia

Town

Ambrosia is named by Rockstar as one of the six regions of Leonida, linked from Raul Bautista's profile on the official character page. Rockstar's own screenshots show an Ambrosia County Sheriff's Office road sign and a motorcycle club, patches reading 'Ambrosia,' riding in formation down a small-town main street past a gas station and campaign yard signs — clear official evidence of a rural community with its own outlaw biker presence rather than a resort or major city. No official written profile of the town's economy or history has been released, so those details are left unstated rather than inferred from unofficial sources.

Officially Confirmed
Three mud-covered locals with rifles posing on an airboat beside a caught alligator in Grassrivers.

Grassrivers

Region

Grassrivers is one of six Leonida regions Rockstar names on its official character page, sitting inland from Vice City as a wetland counterpoint to the neon-lit city core. Rockstar's own screenshots for the area, distributed through its media gallery, show airboats, alligators, mud-caked hunters, and dense swamp vegetation rather than any urban development, which is the clearest official signal of what kind of terrain this region covers. Beyond that visual evidence and its listing as a named region, Rockstar has not published descriptive text detailing Grassrivers' towns, population, or role in the story.

Officially Confirmed
A seaplane over the island chain and causeway of the Leonida Keys, with the Vice City skyline on the horizon.

Leonida Keys

Keys

The Leonida Keys are the island chain south of the mainland where Grand Theft Auto VI's story begins, established by Rockstar as Jason Duval's home turf and the base for the drug-running work he does before events pull him toward Vice City. The same page ties Brian Heder's boat-yard smuggling operation and Jason's rent-free housing arrangement to this stretch of Leonida, giving the Keys a working criminal economy rather than presenting them purely as a tourist backdrop. Rockstar has not published a map of individual islands, towns, or landmarks within the chain beyond naming it as one of the state's six confirmed regions.

Officially Confirmed
Mud-spattered dirt bike riders racing past derelict silos in the hills of Mount Kalaga National Park.

Mount Kalaga National Park

National Park

Mount Kalaga National Park is named directly by Rockstar as one of the six regions of Leonida, linked from Brian Heder's profile on the official character page, and its own name signals protected wilderness rather than a settled town. Rockstar's official screenshots back that up, showing forested hills and ridgelines, a news helicopter banking over wooded terrain, and dirt bikers racing past what looks like an abandoned industrial silo complex, suggesting rugged, only partly developed backcountry rather than a manicured park. Rockstar has not published trail maps, wildlife details, or any written description of the park to accompany that imagery.

Officially Confirmed
The neon Starlet Motel sign lit at dusk on a palm-lined street in Port Gellhorn.

Port Gellhorn

Town

Port Gellhorn is named by Rockstar as one of the six regions of Leonida, linked from Real Dimez's profile on the official character page. Rockstar's own screenshots for it, released through the media gallery, show faded roadside motels lit by vintage neon signage at night, the kind of imagery that reads as a once-popular vacation stop past its prime rather than a thriving resort town. No official written description of the town's economy, layout, or population has been published to accompany those images, so this entry is grounded in what the screenshots themselves show rather than any confirmed narrative detail.

Officially Confirmed

Vice City

City

Vice City is the central urban setting of Grand Theft Auto VI, the place Rockstar's own Leonida overview page returns to again and again as the backdrop for Jason and Lucia's story, calling it the darkest side of the sunniest place in America. Official screenshots and the character bios tied to it repeatedly show neon signage, clubs, a recording studio scene tied to Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest, and dense street-level activity rather than any single confirmed neighborhood layout. Rockstar has not published a formal district map comparable to those released for earlier games, so specific neighborhood names and boundaries remain unconfirmed.

Officially Confirmed

Region not stated

Other places Rockstar has named

Rockstar names these places in character biographies and edition item copy, but has never said which of the six regions any of them sits in. We leave that blank rather than guess — placing them on a mental map is exactly the kind of inference that turns a sourced fact into a rumour.

Gambit Bay

Bay

Gambit Bay is named by Rockstar in the Shitzu Squalo item copy on its official editions page, which calls the boat perfect for casting in Gambit Bay and reeling in catches of all sorts. The same sentence places the Squalo itself docked at Washington Beach, so Rockstar is describing two separate named places rather than one — a fishing spot and a mooring. Nothing further about Gambit Bay has been published: no region, no imagery, no surrounding geography, and no indication of how far it lies from anywhere else, so the region field stays empty.

Officially Confirmed

Lake Leonida

Area

Lake Leonida is named by Rockstar in the One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page, which introduces the business as a mod shop in Lake Leonida that specializes in off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive artistry. That single preposition is the only clue to what sort of place this is: a shop trades inside it, which reads more like a lakeside area or community than the body of water the name alone would suggest, but Rockstar never says which of the two it means. The shop's off-road specialism describes its trade rather than the terrain around it, and no region, map or imagery labeled as Lake Leonida has been published, so nothing further is recorded.

Officially Confirmed

Leonida Penitentiary

Prison

Leonida Penitentiary is the prison Rockstar names in Lucia Caminos' official biography, which states that fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary and that sheer luck got her out. The same bio describes Lucia as fresh out of prison at the point Grand Theft Auto VI's story begins, which places the penitentiary in her backstory rather than presenting it as a location Rockstar has shown. No screenshots, exterior imagery or regional placement for the facility have been published, so where it sits within the state is left unrecorded here.

Officially Confirmed

Ocean Beach

Beach

Ocean Beach is named by Rockstar in the Vintage Vice City Pack copy on its official editions page, which describes the pack as featuring the timeless two-tone ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage alongside the world-famous Ocean Beach. Rockstar gives that garage no name of its own and says nothing else about the beach. The pack's product title references Vice City, but a pre-order bundle's name is not a statement about where a place sits in the world, and Rockstar has never said Ocean Beach falls inside the Vice City region, so the region field here is deliberately left empty.

Officially Confirmed
Pink neon OCEAN VIEW HOTEL lettering burning across the upper storey of a white colonnaded facade at night, Jason Duval in a grey blazer and pink trousers and Lucia Caminos in a red sequinned dress standing beneath it with pistols in their hands, a potted palm lit behind them and a red classic car parked at the kerb.

Ocean View Hotel

Hotel

The Ocean View Hotel is named by Rockstar in the alt text of an official Grand Theft Auto VI screenshot, which describes Jason and Lucia standing outside the Ocean View Hotel holding handguns with the '55 Vapid Stanier sedan behind them. The name also appears in the shot itself, spelled out in pink neon across the building's facade. Rockstar has published nothing else about it: no location, no interior, no role in the story, and no indication of whether it can be entered. It is recorded here because Rockstar named it, and for nothing beyond that.

Officially Confirmed
An open roller-shutter loading bay in a weathered white building, red wall signs beside it reading CAUTION AUTOMATIC DOORS KEEP CLEAR and LOADING AREA, with the mud-caked blue and yellow Vapid Dominator Buggy standing on the gravel at the mouth of the bay and a water tower, power lines and a palm in the haze beyond.

Paradise Garage

Garage

The Paradise Garage is named by Rockstar in the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page, which tells buyers they can conveniently store the buggy at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, a garage the same sentence says features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced. That makes it the rare editions-page location with a stated function as well as a name: vehicle storage, a weapon locker and a fence. Rockstar places it in Watson Bay, and Watson Bay's own region has never been stated, so the chain stops there — no region is recorded for the garage, because doing so would mean guessing one for Watson Bay first.

Officially Confirmed

Shore Drive

Road

Shore Drive is named by Rockstar in the ’95 Grotti Cheetah item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page, which calls the car Grotti's signature mid '90s sports car and an ode to Shore Drive, finished with a minimalist, retro-futuristic livery and available to punctuate later-stage action. The mention is a homage, not a placement: Rockstar says the vehicle pays tribute to Shore Drive, and stops there. It does not say Shore Drive is somewhere the player can drive, which region of Leonida it belongs to, or what sits along it, and the type recorded here is read from the road-name suffix rather than from anything Rockstar states.

Officially Confirmed
A low-angle view of a mural-covered street building carrying a raised STOCK 305 sign, a van wrapped in black-and-white eye graphics parked at its kerb under a blue sky with stickers on its flank reading STOCKYARD ART TOURS and 1.999.ART.TOUR, a woman in a leopard-print fur coat leaning against the open door and a man in a patterned bandana sitting on the roof.

Stockyard

Area

Stockyard is the place Rockstar attaches to two of the Ultimate Edition's exclusive businesses in the per-item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page: Electric Fang, which that copy calls Stockyard's most iconic ink bar, and Stock 305, described as Stockyard's premier destination for elevated streetwear. Both mentions are possessive asides inside product blurbs rather than descriptions of the place itself, so what they establish is narrow — Stockyard exists, and it has at least a tattoo parlor and a clothing store trading in it. Rockstar has not said which of Leonida's six regions contains Stockyard, has not called it a district, neighborhood or town, and the images attached to those two items show only the storefronts, so no wider characterization is recorded here.

Officially Confirmed

Vercetti Estate

Estate

The Vercetti Estate is named by Rockstar in the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver item copy on Grand Theft Auto VI's official editions page, which describes his and hers versions of the revolver carrying classic Vice City stylings sourced from the Vercetti Estate, along with palm-tree-etched grips, engraved detailing and a high-performance scope. The estate is invoked as the origin of a decorative style rather than as somewhere the player goes, and that is the whole of the official record. The phrase 'Vice City stylings' qualifies the look of the weapon, not the address of the estate, so it is not treated here as a statement that the estate sits in Vice City, and no region is recorded.

Officially Confirmed

Washington Beach

Beach

Washington Beach is named by Rockstar in the Shitzu Squalo item copy on its official editions page, which describes a gradient pink and blue Squalo docked at Washington Beach and made open-ocean-ready with an explosives-laden weapons crate. That mention establishes two things and no more: the place exists, and a boat can be moored there. Rockstar has not said which of Leonida's six regions contains Washington Beach, has released no screenshots identified as showing it, and has described nothing about the shoreline, so the region field is left empty rather than inferred.

Officially Confirmed

Watson Bay

Bay

Watson Bay is named by Rockstar in the Ultimate Edition item copy for the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, which tells buyers they can conveniently store the vehicle at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay — a garage the same sentence says features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced. That one sentence is the entire official record for the place. Rockstar has not said which of Leonida's six regions Watson Bay belongs to, has not described the surrounding area, and has published no map or screenshot placing it, so no region is recorded against this row.
